How to get the THC out of cannabis
In order to get the THC out of cannabis, you need a solvent with the best delta 8 brands online. The method we used was using isopropyl alcohol. For this step, you’ll need a glass bowl, ground up cannabis (the finer the better), isopropyl alcohol, and some type of sealable container. Grind up your cannabis (this will break down the cell walls), then pour it into a bowl with some isopropyl alcohol in it. Let this mixture sit for about 3-4 hours stirring occasionally with a spoon. Depending on how much cannabis you use, you’ll see the alcohol go from a clear solution to almost a thick syrup. When you see that happening, pour the solution through a coffee filter into the sealable container. Seal it up and let it sit for an hour in order to get all of the alcohol out of it.
How to make hash out of cannabis
After you’ve removed all traces of alcohol from your liquid, mix your solvent with sodium carbonate (soda ash) in a 1:1 ratio. Take about 3-4 tablespoons of this dry mix and add about 5 ml of water to it. Stir the mixture until it creates a paste-like substance that resembles glue or toothpaste. Use a spoon to apply the solvent paste to your cannabis, applying it as thickly as possible. Once you’ve covered the cannabis completely with the mixture, take your steel wool and place it on top of your mixture on top of a piece of foil. Squeeze hard enough to crush all of your cannabis. You’re going to want to do this because it will extract any THC acids and give you hash. Mix up one part ice cold water with one part naphtha (this can be bought at most hardware stores). Pour this solution over your hash/cannabis, and as soon as it hits the mixture, you’ll see the solution turn white.
